Deadly shooting in a church in the United States: two women, aged 32 and 72, were killed

Two people were killed and two others wounded in a shooting at a church in Kentucky, in the eastern United States. The suspect was shot dead by police, bringing the death toll to three, police confirmed.
 
One person opened fire in a church in the town of Lexington. Two women, aged 32 and 72, were killed, according to local police chief Lawrence Weathers. Two other people were taken to hospital, one in critical condition, the other stable.
 
The suspect was shot dead by police after the incident. He had previously shot an officer during a police checkpoint. The wounded officer is in stable condition, reports the Associated Press. It is believed that there is a link between the suspect and the victims.
